Oro Verde Coffee exists to prove a hypothesis: that the best coffee in Coclé will be made by people who refuse to choose between tradition and technology.
The Parent
Viva Planet is a Panama-based agricultural technology company building the most advanced precision-farming platform for tropical crops in Central America. We design and deploy the sensors, write the software, and operate the data pipeline that makes intelligent cultivation possible at scale.
Oro Verde Coffee is how we make that work tangible. The farm in Coclé is both a working specialty operation and a live proving ground for the technology, and the coffee we produce is the unmistakable evidence that the platform works.
The Mission
Coclé has produced coffee for three centuries. The province has been overlooked by the specialty world for most of that time. Our mission is to change that, by producing the most rigorously crafted Robusta in the world from a farm whose impact extends well past the cup.
We honor the land through shade canopy, biodiversity preservation, and closed-loop processing. We elevate the cup through ancestral craft married with sensor-grade precision. And we empower the community by hiring locally, paying fairly, and sharing the upside.
